I've got trapped in yer another rabbit hole. While searching for ways to save and display metrics of smaller applications I found a new stack of applications that most likely will do the job great, but might be overkill.

Loki for logs, Prometheus for metrics and Grafana as a dashboard for the information. I used it in the past, so I could build on an playbook I have to run a small stack with Podman Kube. I just needed to add Prometheus, but it was a great way to work on it again. First tests worked out and I already had the chance upload it.

Next step: getting nginx access logs imported into Loki, creating useful metrics on my apps and getting said metrics into Prometheus.

Fun projects so far. Still not sure if I should create another server for this one.

ITTavern - some minor updates #

My small IT blog has been ignored for a while now. Invested some time this weekend to clean some things up and looks way better again.

I plan to publish more content again - esp. since I just updated the workflow yesterday which makes it way easier to work with. Happy to work on it again.
